Austria's national football team has not only become much better in recent years, it is also more diverse than ever, with the proportion of Black players standing out in particular. Alaba, Danso, and others are also part of a global phenomenon: in a world where sports are becoming increasingly spectacular and lucrative, we almost automatically associate peak athletic performance with Black athletes.
